About

My name is Vadim Sevastianov. I live and work in the wonderful city of Moscow. For me, photography is a chance to make the world a little bit better, more beautiful, and kinder. It’s a chance for joy, for experiencing life, for looking and seeing things just a little differently.

I first picked up a camera back in 1975—it was a Smena 8M. It was an entire world, an incredible, fascinating world of chemicals, trays, sleepless nights with an enlarger and a red safelight, and a quietly purring tape recorder.

There was a time when I stopped taking photographs, but at the end of 2015, I returned to photography and have been actively evolving and growing in this field ever since. I love photography, and the deeper I delve into this fantastic, captivating world, the more I understand it is my calling. My work is not a simple documentary recording of reality; it is an attempt to convey mood, sensations, and emotions. I truly love interesting and unusual shoots—projects where there is room for creativity, self-development, and realizing myself as an artist.

This website is my showcase, my home. It houses my portfolio, which is constantly changing and updating. I am very meticulous about its content and keeping it current. There is also “The Loft” on my site—it’s my blog. This is a place where I relax. There, I publish materials I find interesting and that might be interesting and useful for you as well. Do drop by sometimes.
